Places an order for some sliders from Shrockworks this morning. 15% off through a group buy on T4R. And this showed up yesterday (also 15% off through a T4R group buy).

Someone remind me why I'm spending money on armor for a vehicle in not going to wheel?

Ehh front skid is always good to have. Never know when a 2x4 will fall off a trailer on the highway

It also takes a few steps out of the ridiculously stupid oil change procedure. That in itself will make the purchase worth it.

Whats the deal on the skid with the rivets and cap head screws? Access to ?? Seems like its in a perfect spot to get scratched/dented/fucked up. I'm guessing there isn't much that can be done about it. But I would have forgone rivets and done some welding on the backside to hold whatever it is in place.

It's an access hole for the oil filter.

Here's a view from the top. Not exactly sure why they used rivets. It's welded.

I still think a train set may have been a better 'investment' at this time. I do love those rides and plan to get one when I grow up a bit more. :) :horndog:

I dont think my metal one has that support on the side of that access door. Either way it is still a whole lot stronger than the factory tin foil that it came with.

Is there anyway to order it so that the side windows open up like wings. - If I ever got a cap, I would want to be able to get to the stuff in the front of the bed without having to dig through to the back. - Just curious.

Just got to load it right, and use totes.
Sometimes I tie ropes, and it just makes it easy to pull them out, with a family of 4 and hunting/camping or what ever it's nice to have dry clothes and gear.:)
