Just watched Eric install Camburg spindles. They are BAD ASS. If I were 2WD I'd definitely go that route
Just out of curiosity, which one of you is eric? Loco?
Aren't you supposed to be at the man orgy down in Freer

I think of it as not quite wiping enough. No one but you knows...
meat curtains? bahahaha
FAWK ME!
I received my shipment today of new trailer brakes and drums. I measured the bolt pattern before I ordered and I measures 4.75 x 5. I measured from the center of each bolt to one two bolts over.
This is WRONG! To measure a 5 lug pattern you measure from the center of one bolt to the BACKSIDE of the bolt two spots over. So really I needed 5x5 bolt pattern. My own damn fault.. I'm just used to measuring 4,6 or 8 lug patterns.. didn't realize the 5 lug was different.
Anyhow, lesson learned. Now to just hope the new drums arrive as fast as the first ones did.
Upside is that installing the brakes takes about 15 minutes! So I'll wire it all up and get the backing plate/brake assembly installed and just wait in the outer drums and then reinstall the tires then.
Bummer on one side but I think I would rather have the quick install with the drum problem than the right drum but an nightmare install!![]()
I think I'll have to agree with you on that one.
So tomorrow my plan is to go pick up 40' of 2x2 (maybe 2x3) x 1/4 angle steel and weld it into the channel around the base of the trailer. Also plan to rewire the whole thing, with provisions for the brakes and install my new lights and license plates. Woot.
Pics or it never happened!
LOL.. you know thats one thing I've been very bad about. The trailer pics. I'll try to snap some tomorrow. In its noodle shaped glory.
