4xInnovations sliders are $175 + $50 for DOM and Kickout (recommended) + they wanted $50 shipping to Texas = ~$275

Which is damn reasonable for a quality set of sliders! Really tough to find used weld on sliders (unless you are as cool as me) and you won't get a better price on a new set. I also recomend the kick out, as far as DOM goes it is debateable weather you must have it or not so I'll leave it up to you.

I have the HREW on Clyde and have beat the piss out of them.. no dings/dents/bends. Its a low speed thrill ride. But I went with HREW because I didn't want to wait and Clyde doesn't weigh a lot. Also, a good quality HREW is just as good in some cases as DOM... some cases its better. http://board.marlincrawler.com/index.php?topic=60158.0

I like Avids stuff but not sure on prices for your truck.

The only set of avid sliders I've seen flexed horribly. Can't remember who had them...

Brian R has a set of the Avids. I don't remember seeing any gussets or anything. Just tubes welded directly to the frame if my memory is correct.

Serously though, I generally negotiate these things with my wife, start out with "hey honey, we should buy you that thing you wanted out of OUR tax return because you deserve to have it" then bring up the things that YOU want.
