Those tires look great. Now all you need is the mud. You should do the shackles. I don't think it will give you all that much rake. Right now it looks like the rear is sitting a little lower than the front. Plus it will give you more suspension travel to work with and you can adjust the positioning of the shocks to limit up travel and keep the tires from hitting the body.

Looks like it's time to get out the cutoff wheel and BFH get them there tires to clear the fenders.

Yeah right, thats just not going to happen. I might beat on the inner fenders a bit, but no cut off wheels evolved.

Thanks Drew. I probably will put the shackles on for now, but some of the rake is an illusion because of the body lines & the way the fenders are cut. The front fenders are cut way higher than the rears. I think the body lift will take care of the rest.

You know you could always crank your torsion bars a little to level it back out.(no more than 1" though as you will start loosing wheel travel/getting shitty ride/handling characteristics over that)

Don't use your shocks to limit anything, up or down. Use limiting straps and bumpstops. You'll destroy your shocks. Just make an aluminum spacer for your bumpstop to hit in the rear.

One of these days I will buy some SAW torsion bars, they are only about $160 & I will need them for the the Blazeland LT kit anyways.

Gotcha, thanks.

What would you guys consider acceptable UCA to tire clerance? I was hoping to not need Randy's/ Drew's/ Seans wheels spacers anymore with my new wheel & tire combo, but I took a measurement & if I take them out I am looking at between 1/4-3/8" of clerance. Is that enough?

Thats what I was thinking. I'll probablly wait untill I get it aligned & actually take one out & get another measurement. Who do these really belong too? Are they for sale or just a loaner set?

You can keep them, I'll probably roll without for a while. Eventually I'll either go IFS width axles or just do some Marlin or Spidertrax spacers.

On bronco buster my buddy in an 02 SAS'd taco had to run on the edges and lean WAY over.. My narrow width allowed me to run down the center. But on NoName I wished I was wider.

Thanks sean, Let see if I really end up needing them after the alignment, The front end is toed out pretty bad right now. I need to get the heims done before the alignment, but that is not going to happen this week, no mod money for the 4runner this week. I'll let you know.

I got a few small things done today, most notably, adjusted the valves. I have been meaning to do it for awhile now, last time I set them was on the engine stand & it was a "rough in" procedure at best. They are meant to be adjusted while hot. A few of them where WAAAYYY too loose, and after I adjusted them all, I am about smitten with how it runs. Much smoother & very quite now, no more valve clatter, runs better than it ever has.

Now you just need a non crap ass muffler and I bet that thing would be super quiet (i've gotten to where I prefer quieter vehicles out on the trail)
