Is that why you get getting the aqua lung? Trying to silence yours for good....lol

Not quite, I think every engine needs a healthy dose of H2O every now and again. However it is the entire reason that I still have the factory monstrosity of a muffler under there.

don't you go off making fun of my muffler Randy. I might swap ours out one night when you are passed out.

Had a little free time this weekend so I painted the grill & windsheild trim black. Looks much better IMO.

I had some rear Gabriel shocks laying around that came off of Todds first gen. They where a direct bolt on, but about 1-1/2" longer. These are much larger in Diameter & actually work. The shocks I took off where original & you could compress them with VERY little effort & they would not rebound when you let them go. The Gabriels had some surface rust so I painted them with what ever I had laying around. Not a permanent solution, but a little better anyway. Here is a side by side comparison.

Looks good man. I'm sure it rides WAY better now that you have shocks that actually work.

Thanks Drew, but honestly I don't even know how it rides, Really need to get this thing tagged & inspected.

Just getting cought up on your thread Rob.....

Which 35's did you go with again? How much lift do you think you'll get from those 63's?

35/12.5/15 KM1's for the street and I hope around 5in or so. Anywhere from 3 to 6 depending on the setup and shackle length

Damn Rob, looks like yours...

Johns rig is really f'n nice. I thought the same when I saw your paint job. He is a pretty good dude to wheel with and his rig is built well. Duals, 529's Detroits and he works at a Toyota body shop to keep the paint clean:)

I like that corner protection, might have to mod mine. :)

Ill take a set as well :) Im serious....

I told ya they would look great on the runner!

I watched him flop it at Longs a few years ago.. sucked. Very nice rig though.

Got some GM style horns for the 4runner, mine was missing all together. Problem was that the wiring to the horn button on the steering wheel of the Toyota are hot all the time & switch on the ground, but the GM horn ground to the chassis thru the mounting stud. The solution was a 20 amp relay. Full time hot (from original horn wiring) on 87 & 86 on the relay, gronund from original horn wiring to 85 & 30 to the horn positve. Easy deal & works great.

Then, boredom got the best of me & I ended up cutting my Spatran locker sticker & slapping it on the grill, not sure if I will keep it or not.

Sorry for the lame update, no real mod money to do anything worth wild. At least I am one step closer to getting an inspection sticker. :o

Nice work. That grounding issue must be the reason the previous owner just installed a large push button below the steering wheel on the column for the horn in mine. LOL.
