Got the crossmember painted last night, it's ready to be installed today, only took 1 can of primer and 2 cans of paint so I have plenty left for the sliders. Got all new hardware to bolt it to the frame, I was missing 2 of the original bolts and the ones I did have all had damaged threads and where very tight going in and out. I chased all of the threaded holes with a 12 x 1.25 tap to clean them out and painted the section of frame where the crossmember mounts. According to UPS tracking the new rubber T-case mount will be here Friday, I will install the crossmember with the old mount for now.
Also while I was waiting for paint to dry between coats I finally got the motor mount spacers done. They have just been sitting there. I had a hell of a time getting everything to line up, Thank goodness that 4crawler makes the bolt holes so large for adjustablity. Talk about tight working space, what a PITA. I wish I would have measured from the oil pan to the ground before I installed them so I would know exactlly how much it lifted the motor. At this point I will just assume it is 2".

You have to be realy patient to get good deals, I spend alot of time digging throught the classifieds on other forums looking for them. Several times now I have been tempted to buy one frm the dealer because I hate not having a working gauge but I am glad I held out.

Well I plan on welding my sliders on very soon and wanted to be sure I had enough to paint them and the frame inside and out also. There is nothing wrong with having a few extra cans laying around either.

Crossmember is in, the clearance is very nice. Something isn't right with the skid though . It could be partially because my rubber trans mount is fucked, but it is hitting the front drive shaft also. I'll have to call Bud in the morning.
Edit: Also seems as though I maybe should have disconnected the shifter linkage when I put the BL on like the instructions said to do. Mine is mangled beyond repair. Off to search for a deal on some linkage

I knew it, we got in to big of a hurry infuses..
Yeah well shit happens. No big deal, at least it's cheap fix.
The gut who I bought the fuel level sending unit from owns a Toyota salvage yard and has very reasonable prices. I sent him a PM about the linkage bracket and he got back to me right away, I paypal'd him and he said the part will ship out tomorrow morning. If you guys need anything let me know and I'll ask him.
