I drove for over 300 miles on one tank of gas in my 4R today. I am pretty happy as this is right up there with the best mileage I have been able to get so far at 19.24 mpg. I also noticed that I have already put 11k miles on this 4R and need to do an oil change.

wow, 300 miles? I feel great if I get 200... of course my gas tank is pretty beat up and only holds like 13 gallons.. :)

I put right around 16.5 gallons in it last night. I had less than I thought but more than enough at that kind of mpg.

It was about 2in away from hitting some electrical connection/plug

One piece of wood went into the cross member and splintered into pieces. The other piece was stabbed above the cross member.

This was on base, I was traveling on top of ground up cedar trees, but stumps, logs and big sticks are often left because the operator of the shredders don't like the booms to come in contact with the ground(rock) because those attachments cost upwards of $150k

Clearly it's a punching chuck. Duh.

Chunks lol

Getting ready to put my 250+ pound bumper back on. The flimsy frame mounts are long gone so this is my simplified cure. The Large bolt is a M18 Grade 8.8. The diameter snugs into my frame rail's hole perfectly on the outside of the frame rail. On the inside there is a square hole but having used this setup on one side for a long time, it didn't move a smidge since it is pinned on the outside anyway. The 10.9 bolts replicate the stock bolts that used to hold the bumper on. This will pull the bumper squarely up against the front of the frame rails. I know it sounds too simple but if it works as good as just the outer one that I have used for years, I think I will be okay.

This is what the other one looked like (outboard only - I didn't make an inboard until tonight).

Now all I need to do is to x-ray them, penetrant, glass bead, polish, zinc plate, powder coat and plasti-dip and they'll be ready to hold a bumper tomorrow. :)

Those skids look great. :)

I was hoping someone would appreciate my geeky attempt at humor.

I also plan on making a tie in to the the top of the frame as well. More later.
