What have you done to your ride lately?

Some pics of the car hauler/POS.

I replaced a bunch of the boards and bolted them to the ribs

New chains installed

The old shit I cut off. It was simply welded in a few spots on top of the edges. Going up and over the fenders so you could drive over them.

A new tongue is probably on the list of things to replace.

So today I'll rewire and burn in that 2x3x.25 angle along the edges to strengthen it up.

I'm sure we'll be able to put this in the "better than new" column by the end of the weekend! Nice!!!

I did nothing to the truck today (aside from let Cindy drive it). I did however, give her Subaru it's first coat of wax and first oil change.

Very nice. If my wife ever wants a SUV those will be at the top of my list along with a 4runner.

Thanks. It's pretty good on gas too, she averages 25mpg...Slightly less with my heavy foot on it, around 23. Rides real nice and handle pretty good. I did notice that the shock are little soft for me, but I might change them if I find a deal.

Was a busy day for me today, built a welding table, rebuilt and capped the ends of my rear bumper, cut my sliders off and moved them up about 2" bout as close to the body as I was willing to take them as they do flex some, and clearanced for the new 35s cutting back the body mount and beating the pinch weld flat with the fire wall.
The only pic I took of todays progress as my phone decided it would eat the battery rather quickly today.

Just got back from a 700 + mile road trip, my truck does not like driving into 20-30 mph winds but love driving away from them.

I kept it at 2000 rpm all the way home, I was only running 68 when I past you...lol
I walked in the door at 2-2:30.

I'm sure that 20mph tail wind helped a lot, was blowing like crazy here today.

Yeah it helped a lot, I only got 11-12 mpg on the way down. I'll figure up the mileage comming home when I go fill up my truck.
