12 is good with me, I am going to have to get the 4runner on a trailer & all. Haven't gotten any prep work done just yet eother, still need to get supplies. Do you have any painter's mask?

Grpf, I am going to buy lift and sliders next month.. bet it takes another month to get them. When we going wheeling again? You gonna do some kewl stuff with the Cream Puff yet? What time are you painting the rig? Zulch, right? how far from Robbie's is it..? I might want to attend/help out if the timing is right.

Come on down Sam, the more the merrier, read that as I need help sanding & masking. Keith's shop is about 5 miles from my place. Just give me a call & I'll give you directions, or if you get to town before noon, you can just follow me.

I am bored out of my fucking mind tonight. Bianca is out babysitting with the boys, so I am home alone. I hauled ass to the Liquor store for another bottle (clock said 8:40).. it was CLOSED! fucking power went off the other day and the time is off by 30 minutes! GRRRR
So this is going down tomorrow eh? Not sure what Bianca has planned, but if it's different from what I want to do then I will call you in the morning. Sanding.. like.. by hand? Please tell me you have a vibrator... actually, don't answer that.

I don't think it is going to look as dark as it does in that pic, It is a little more olive & less hunter of a green. Has a really cool texture to it, not like orange peel, It's hard to describe, but I like it. Total cost for the paint job.....0 dollars. Thanks Keith & Andy. I get a few more pics up in a bit.

Took the 4runner in for an alignment this weekend & was told it was a NO GO. I had a admitted rookie tech tell me that my adjusters where frozen & he couldn't get them loose. He also told me that my shocks, idler arm, pitman arm & tie rods where all junk. I told him that I knew the shocks where bad, but I didn't think it made a difference as far as alignment goes, he said they make a big difference....I got a refund & left. I think I am going to get a second opinion. I am sure that the 24 year old creampuff has some issues, but I don't think the ass hat tech looking at it knew his ass from a hole in the wall. He was kind enough to recommend that I bring it back next week between the hours of 8-5, when the is supposedly a master alignment tech on hand who could tell me more specifically what the exact problem was.

Shocks wouldn't matter, but I could see the alignment cams being frozen as well as tierod ends being shot. You just replaced the idler so I really don't think that would be an issue as well as the pitman arm if those were shot you wouldn't really even be able to turn very much.

I am pretty sure that the guy just didn't really know what he was doing. Not sure what would be considered "shot" as far as a tie-rod end goes, but I think mine are fine & the real problem is that he could not get the adjuster sleeves loose. Tie rod ends are cheap enough, I just don't see what is wrong with mine.

If they were shot you would have a lot of play in the steering wheel

I defiantly have slop in the steering wheel.
