Bud Built shipped today and Bud told me it should make it by Friday - Finger crossed on that one.
Ebay trans mount - has not shipped yet, no telling when I will get that.
WabFab FINALLY shipped my new brake hard line, 2 weeks after I placed the order, should be here Friday.
3rd members have been paid for and I am waiting for him to pull and ship them, hopefully no later than Monday.
I FUCKING HATE waiting for shit!

Nope. The Bud Built bolts in, I have all of the welding that is required for the DT lift done. I do still need to weld on my sliders but I can do that at the shop. I really appriciate the offer Randy and I could always use a hand, but no need for a welder.

Got the gas tank lifted last night. It was a bitch but the results are good.
Before with skid plate.
Front mount has 2 positions avaliable. The lower one is for the 4runner because of the rear seats and the upper is stock for a pick up.
All I had to do is cut away the lower mount to gain access to the stock pick up mounting location. Easier said that done.
For the rear mount I cut the bracket off and welded it up 2-1/4" higher.
The end result without the skid plate. I am going to have the do some pretty heavy modifications to the gas tank skid to get it back on.
That was well worth the 2-1/4" lift I got, the tank is much higher and safer, it hangs about a 1/2" below the frame rails. I knew this wasn't going to get me a perfectly flat belly, but I didn't want to do the 3" BL that it would take. I am pleased enough with what I have done.

Awesome work Rob! I know that the gas tank on Clyde was BEAT! The new rig's tank is also beat to shit! I don't have a BL so I'll have to relocate a fuel cell into the bed. But that looks awesome. Are you planning to build a beefier skid?

Thanks Sean. This mod is one of the big adavantages on the DT lift, second to the t-case of course. I thought about the fuel cell also but figured if I could get the tank high enough then what's the point? I wish I could get and extra inch out of it, might be able to move it a tad more.....maybe. Besides relocating mine is way cheaper than a fuel cell set up. I haven't decided about the tank skid. Mine is pretty mutilated but I think I can beat it strait and weld in some strengthening ribs to beef it up. I will also have to section a couple of inches out of each end because the skid hangs almost a full inch lower than the tank. Mounting it will be a chore, Going to have to figure something out on that one. In the end it will be a lot of work but I think a tank skid is required protection before Hidden Falls.

I think you should just add a 3/16's bottom to the factory skid and call it good.

Yeah, and the main thing is just to make it puncture proof. Maybe weld some 1/4" angle around the edges for strength??
